Mike and Paula Riva of West Frankfort are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Katie to Matt Caraway, son of Bob Caraway of Vergennes and Betty Studt of West Frankfort. Katie is a 2001 graduate of Frankfort Community High School and graduated Cum Lade in 2005 from Eastern Illinois University earning a degree in Elementary Education. She has been employed by Frankfort Community School District for the past four years. Matt is a 2001 graduate of Frankfort Community High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005 from Eastern Illinois University earning a degree in History with a minor in pre-law. He served seven years in the Air National Guard and deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Iraq freedom in 2006. Upon his return, Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois Law School in December of 2008. He is an attorney at Thompson Coburn LLP in St. Louis. A June 13, 2009 wedding will take place at the First Christian Church in West Frankfort.
