The Johnston City Police, Fire Department First Responders and units from the Williamson County Sheriff Department responded to investigate a report of a stabbing at 604 E. Broadway, in Johnston City.
Upon arrival, officers entered the residence to find the victim, a 52-year-old, white male, identified as James D. Mitchell, a resident at the address.
Officers searched the residence and found the suspect, a 58-year-old, white male, Kent Roland, also a resident at the address, which was combative and promptly arrested by the Johnston City Police Department.
The First Responders provided the necessary first aid and due to the serious nature of the wounds, the victim was transported to a St. Louis area hospital by Air-Evac.
The suspect, Roland Kent, was arrested transported to the Williamson County Jail and charged with aggravated battery and the case turned over to the Williamson County States Attorney Office.
The incident took place Saturday night at around 9:15 p.m.
