The 6th annual Future Lady Redbird Softball Pitching, Fielding and Hitting clinic will begin towards the end of June. This is a good chance to see the Redbirds of today, as well as the 'Birds of tomorrow teach and learn skills on the diamond. If one signs up they will have the best softball staff at their disposal. Tim Ricci is the Head Coach of the FCHS Lady Redbirds and he and his coaching staff will teach your child the fundamentals of America's pastime. Former and current Lady Redbirds will also be helping out.
Pre sign ups are available contact Coach R. Tim Ricci. 1801 E. C Street West Frankfort IL 62896. The regular sign up dates begin Tuesday, June 16 from 5:30 p.m to 8 'o clock p.m. This first sign up will be held at the concession stand. If you miss tuesday's there will be another chance. Thursday, June 18 from 8 'o clock a.m. to 9'o clock a.m. This second time to sign up will be held at on Diamond number five. Your last chance to sign up is Friday, June 19, from 8 o'clock a.m to 9 o'clock a.m.
This camp is open to any and all softball players first through ninth grade. First, second and third grade will cost 20 dollars. For students fourth through ninth grade it will be a 30 dollar fee to participate. Each camper will receive a Future Lady Redbird T-shirt.
Proceeds of the event will go to the Alumni Softball Game which is being held on June 20 at 2 o'clock p.m.
If your future redbird will be attending camp they will need cleats, glove and something to drink. Preferably water or Gatorade. A softball bat and batting helmet are optional attire.
