Wins keep on piling up for CJHS softball

The CJHS Jr. Lady Redbird softball team continued its winning ways Monday afternoon, pounding 14 hits en route to a 20-0 three-inning drubbing of Eldorado.
CJHS pitcher Kiarha Wilce struck out six of the 11 batters faced to earn the victory.

Mackenzie Campbell led the Jr. Lady Redbird offense with a 3-3 performance at the plate, which included three RBIs.

Also hitting for the CJHS: Jacklynn Calvert (2-2), Sarah Aldridge (2-3 2 RBIs), Wilce (1-2 RBI), Terrilynn Summers (2-2 2 RBIs), Bobbie Jo Wegzryn (1-2 RBI), Ciara Murphy (1-2 RBI), Bry Rich (1-1) and Bry Rich (1-1).

The win improves head coach Holly Lewis' squad to 8-2 on the season.  The Jr. Lady Redbirds travel to Herrin tomorrow to take on the Jr. Tigers at 4:30 p.m
